Estimate of unemployment potentials in the course of German unification
On the basis of company surveys in the GDR the analysis comes to the result that one third of employees in the GDR companies will be released under market conditions. About half of them will lose their politically or socially oriented jobs. The other half will become unemployment through the application of western production standards.
