Die Europäische Kommission, Generaldirektion Beschäftigung, Soziales und Integration, betreibt das Europäische Beschäftigungsobservatorium als Netzwerk von Korrespondenten in allen EU-Ländern und mit der EU assoziierten Ländern. Dieses Netzwerk liefert der Kommission Informationen und Ergebnisse vergleichender Forschung über die aktuelle Beschäftigungspolitik und die Arbeitsmarktentwicklungen in den europäischen Staaten. Es ist Teil der Europäischen Beschäftigungsstrategie.
